Introduction

Do you know why we say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning? 
Do you know what the stars and stripes on our flag represent? 
Do you know where the Statue of Liberty came from? 
You'll learn the answers to all of these questions and lots more when you complete this webquest. 


The Task

Your task is to work with a partner to create a Kid Pix slide show about one of our national symbols.



The Process
 

1.  Your teacher will assign you and your partner one national symbol. 
2.  You will research that national symbol and create a Kid Pix slide show about that symbol. 
Your slide show will have three slides.
*The first slide will include a picture of the symbol.
*The second slide will include a short description of the symbol.
*The third slide will include two sentences about why the symbol is important today.
3.  Click on your assigned symbol.

Conclusion

We have discovered that we have national symbols!  We have learned 
about some of them.   Now we know why we say the Pledge of Allegiance everyday.  We know why the flag is red, white, and blue.  And we know where the Statue of Liberty came from.
