Spelling

Each week words will come home on Monday. There will be a test on a midweek test on Wednesday and a final test on Friday. Practice, Practice Practice!

Math

How good are your math facts. We don't spend time working the facts, but you need to know them for the skills we work with. Practice, Practice, Practice! There is always Accelerated Math to work ahead on.

Reading

The following things are included in the reading grade along with daily work and reading group assignments. These things are to be done on their own time and completed quarterly.
1. Students are required to read 15 minutes 4 times a week. This should be recorded on their reading calendar and turned in weekly.
2. Each student is required to read and test over books of their choice for their Individual Reading assignment. These books should be at their reading level. If the book is above their reading level they will earn more points. If it is an easy reader it will be fewer points. On the average if they read books at their reading level they will need to read 2 books a quarter. To test over the book see the helpful links page.
