Reading Calendar Requirements

-Griswold Elementary requires every student to read at home 4 times a week for at least 15 minutes a night. 

-In first grade it is a pass/fail grade.  They either meet the requirements or fail to meet them. 

-If your child reads more than the required amount of nights, they will be marked as exceeding the criteria.

-A monthly calendar will be sent home so you can keep track of the days

read and the title of the books read.

-The calendar needs to be signed by a parent and student and  then returned by the third school day after the end of the month.

-A Tiger Reading Club party will be held monthly for those who qualify.

-The reading party will consist of various games and activities.
