Classroom Rules
We follow Tiger Traits as our classroom
rules. There are four components to our Tiger Traits. They include
Responsibility, Respect, Resolve Conflict, and Pride.
1) Be kind to each other.
2) Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
3) Raise your hand to speak.
4) Listen with your eyes and ears.
5) Work quietly.
We use the dot
system for our consequences.
 |
Every student begins the day with a green
dot. A green dot means that the student is on-task and doing what
he/she should be doing.
|
 |
If a student is off-task, hitting, talking, etc.
their dot is changed. The first dot change is a yellow dot. A yellow
dot is a warning.
|
 |
The next time a student gets a dot change, it is one
blue dot. A student then misses 5 minutes of recess.
|
 |
The next time a
student gets a dot change, it is two blue dots. The student will miss 10
minutes of recess.
|
 |
Another dot change is three blue dots, which means missing 15
minutes of recess.
|
 |
The next dot change is a red dot, this means the parent will
receive a note or a phone call.
