Algebra I  (Algebra IA, IB follows the same standards and benchmarks but at a slower pace with the material covered over a two year period)

a.       TLW apply properties of real number systems

b.      TLW represent numbers in various forms, i.e.: decimal, fraction, scientific notation

c.       TLW use a scientific calculator effectively

Standard 2 – Data Analysis and Problem Solving

a.       TLW compute measures of central tendency to specific situations

Standard 3 – Measurement

a.       TLW compare numbers using order of relations

b.      TLW solve length, area and volume of basic figures

Standard 4 – Algebra

a.       TLW apply order of operations to simplify expressions

b.      TLW graph and derive equations of lines

c.       TLW use expressions, equations, and inequalities to represent situations that involve variable quantities

d.      TLW apply transformations and simplifications to solve linear equation and inequalities

Standard 5 – Geometry

a.       TLW apply counting procedures such as those involving sets (unions and intersections)

b.      TLW solve geometric measures of length, area, and volume

c.       TLW apply and derive formulas for perimeter, area, and volume
