Online fee payment option at GCS

Griswold Community Schools recently activated an on-line fee payment processing system that allows schools to receive electronic payments by e-check or credit card.

Customers may add money to family meal accounts by accessing the PaySchools system using a link on the Lunch menu from the JMC Parent Access Page. Customers have the option to directly debit the funds from their bank account or they may make purchases with a credit card.

There will be a $2 fee for a transaction of any amount using the system.

After making a purchase, an e-mail receipt will be sent to the customer immediately. Some of the benefits to the customer are: easy and convenient way to pay fees 24 hours a day 7 days a week, no lost checks or students forgetting to turn in money, and the ability to view account history of purchases. PaySchool uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software which requires passwords throughout the program. To ensure the privacy and security for users, it does not store personal bank or credit card information. PaySchols is offered through the Iowa Association of School Boards. It is a lot safer than paper-clipping a check to your childs backpack.
