Your second grade student should be reading aloud to someone for fifteen minutes at least four times a week. You may also read to your student or let them do some silent reading on their own. They will have spelling words every week. The list of fifteen words will come home on Monday and the pre-test will be on Wednesday with the test on Friday. This list needs to be practiced every night. Below are some web sites we have used or that I have found that you and your family may find fun and useful.
