National Honor Society
The Griswold Chapter of National Honor Society is co-chaired by Nancy Potter and Sandy Nelson. The four pillars upon which NHS is founded are scholarship, leadership, character, and service. The four criteria are equally weighted when determining membership in NHS. A faculty council appointed by the principal reviews academically eligible (3.5 GPA) juniors and seniors to evaluate if they have met all the criteria required for induction.
The NHS chapter is responsible for the Veteran's Day Program, the NHS Installation Ceremony, and the Academic Banquet each school year. Members also do activities in support of National Education Week and various fundraisers.
