Griswold Community School District

1:1 Computer Initiative

The Griswold Community School District believes that technology plays a necessary role in educating our children. Our students must acquire the skills necessary to be contributing citizens in an information-rich technological environment.  Technology will be integrated into the curriculum to improve both learning and teaching.  Students graduating from Griswold Community Schools will be competent users of technology. Technology literacy is defined as the ability of individuals to responsibly use appropriate technology tools to access, process and evaluate information and then communicate that information to others.

Objectives/Goals:

  • Continue to learn new technology and programs useful to the educational setting
  • Improve the way teachers teach and students learn
  • Involve students in active learning
  • Improve student achievements
  • Prepare students for life beyond high school in an information-rich technological environment
  • Increase collaboration and communication
  • Level the playing field and create an equal opportunity for all learners.  This equity provides all students access to 21st century teaching, learning, and technology
