I am the instructional coach in our district. I joined the team in 2016 as a 2nd grade teacher.I have a Master’s in Early Childhood Education. Prior to teaching in a classroom I was a Behavior and Inclusion Specialist for Head Start Preschool program. Even before that I owned and operated a child care program for 16 years. I have a lot of experience in creating safe and caring environments for children to grow in. I am married and have six children. I live in Red Oak and commute to Griswold each day. I love to watch football! My favorite teams are the Chiefs and the Packer’s! I also enjoy watching BOTH Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State Cyclones. I love reading. Currently I enjoy reading historical fiction from the 1940’s. If I cannot read, I love to listen to books on audibles as I commute. One of my favorite books is Wonder. It has such an important message. I believe in the quote from the book, “When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind”.
