I started my teaching career in the fall of 1996. My first teaching job was at Grand Valley in Kellerton, Iowa. I started with Griswold in the fall of 1998. While in the Griswold district, I have taught kindergarten, mulit-age (1st and 2nd), 1st grade, and Early Childhood Special Education. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Grand View University in Des Moines. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in early childhood and literacy. I earned my Master’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2004 with an emphasis in literacy. The following year I returned to UNI for my special education endorsement. I have 2 children. Seth graduated from Griswold in the spring of 2020. He hopes to continue learning at Iowa Western and go into the welding field. Kayla will be a junior. She enjoys being involved with Special Olympics and everything animal related! I enjoy watching football! In the fall. You will often find me talking and watching all kinds of football, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. I also enjoy taking pictures! If you have ever been in my class, you already know this! If you are about to join my class, I can’t wait to take pictures of you playing and enjoying your days learning!
