Mr. Blair grew up on a family farm just south of Macksburg, Iowa. He graduated from Orient-Macksburg High School in 1981. While in high school, Mr. Blair was active in the FFA and a member of the National Honor Society. In 1982 he married his high school sweetheart, Donna Holtmyer. From 1981 to 1985, Mr. Blair worked for Clifford Moulin as a full-time farm-hand near Nevinville, Iowa. In 1985, the Blairs’ moved to Maryville, Missouri where Mr. Blair attended Northwest Missouri State University majoring in Agricultural Education. He was active in the educational fraternity, Alpha Tau Alpha and also became president of the Ag Council. Graduating from NWMSU in 1988, Mr. Blair began his teaching career at Mound City, Missouri. In 1989, the Blairs’ moved to eastern Iowa where Mr. Blair became the Agricultural Education Teacher with Tri-County Community Schools in Thornburg, Iowa which was also shared with English Valleys Community Schools. He taught in this shared position until 2005 when he went full-time at Tri-County. While at Tri-County Comm. Schools, Mr. Blair coached baseball, boys and girls golf, and junior high football. In 2006 the Blairs’ moved to Griswold where Mr. Blair became the Agriculture Education Teacher for Griswold Community Schools. Mr. and Mrs. Blair have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren. The Blairs’ love to camp, and fish, and Mr. Blair truly enjoys pheasant and quail hunting.
