Born in Red Oak in 1972. Graduated from Red Oak in 1990. Played football, basketball, golf, and baseball in HS. Graduated from Simpson in 1994. Played one year of baseball in college. Worked as MS Social Studies teacher from 1994-present. Hired to teach Iowa History and a cover a few study halls. Currently teaching Current Issues, World Geography, and American History. Coached Baseball for 16 years. Proud to be a part of 3 District Championships in 1997, 2004, and 2005. Qualified for the 2004 State Baseball Tournament in Marshalltown. Coached HS Boys Basketball for 23 years. We won WIC Championship and Tournament Championship in 2004. Coached Golf from 2008-present. Boys State Tournament teams in 2014, 2015, 2016. Girls State Tournament team in 2018 as well as a number of individuals participating in the State Golf Tournament. Coached JH Football for 24 years. Also coached HS girls track, HS boys track, MS boys track, and HS volleyball. Younger brother that teaches in North Kansas City. Younger sister that works and lives in Denver. 2 nephews and 2 nieces. Parents are retired and still live in Red Oak. Married in 1999. No children. Lived in Griswold from 1995-present.
