I grew up on a farm northeast of Red Oak, IA. Graduated from Red Oak High School in 1979. Graduated from UNI in May of 1983. Obtained teaching license from Buena Vista University--Council Bluffs Campus-- in May of 1997. Taught at Griswold going on 23 years, mostly language arts classes, but some American history. Married w/3 children: Michael, Hollie, and Daniel. Grandchildren: Sydnie, Kaelin, & Braden.
