Jahnke Memorial Scholarship
The Jahnke Memorial Scholarship is now accepting applications! Annually, two graduates of Griswold High School have the opportunity to be awarded a $10,000 scholarship towards their continued education at a two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.
To be eligible applicants must:
- Must reside (current permanent address) within the boundaries of the historic Lewis Consolidated School District.
- Must have attended all four years of high school and graduated from the Griswold High School, Griswold, Iowa.
- Must be enrolled for the first time as a degree-seeking, full-time student, without interruption, at a two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school and have successfully completed one year of higher learning with a “C” average or greater.
- Must have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, work experience, extracurricular, or other activities.
- Must have completed and submitted the Jahnke Memorial Scholarship Application Form, two letters of recommendation, and an official transcript from the student’s institution of higher learning by the deadline.
Applications are due by July 7th and should be submitted to Sharon Guffey-Lewis at sguffeylewis@gmail.com or mailed to the School - 20 Madison St., Griswold, IA 51535.
