Transportation
School transportation is available to students. Please ensure that you have submitted the school bus form at the time of registration to ensure your student has a means to be transported to and from school.
Students utilizing school transportation will conduct themselves in an orderly manner fitting to their age level and maturity with mutual respect and consideration for the rights of the school vehicle driver and the other passengers. Students who fail to behave in an orderly manner will be subject to disciplinary measures. The driver will have the authority to maintain order on the school vehicle. It is the responsibility of the driver to report misconduct to the building administrator. The board supports the use of video cameras on school buses used for transportation to and from school as well as for field trips, curricular or extracurricular events. The video cameras will be used to monitor student behavior and may be used as evidence in a student disciplinary proceeding. The videotapes are student records subject to school district confidentiality, board policy and administrative regulations.
When a violation of the rules occurs:
1. The bus driver will complete a "Bus Conduct Notice" which goes to the building
principal.
2. The principal will talk to the student. The original will be given to the child for
delivery to you. Every effort will be made to call.
3. If serious or habitual infractions occur, the child will be denied school transportation.
